THIRSK & Sowerby Harriers fielded 18 runners in the final North Yorkshire/South Durham cross-country event of the year at Croft Autodrome.
Under-17 runner Charlotte Knowles led home members in the ladies’ race finishing 21st out of 74 entrants, over a course of six kilometres in 29 minutes and 17 seconds.
Carol Morrison was 30th in 31.09, Pat Kirby 32nd in 31.24, Christine Burn 62nd in 36.31, Claire Gillan 66th in 37.57, Nicola Booth 67th in 38.07, Cath Lumb 68th in 39.12, Jayne Cummins 69th in 39.49 and Marian Codling 74th in 50.30.
The men’s race, over a longer distance, had Stephan Tomaszewski leading club runners home with 31st place in 33.14, ahead of Rob Burn 42nd in 34.09, Rob Lickley 64th in 37.16, Marc Davies 77th in 38.52, Martyn Coy 90th in 40.05, Bryan Miller 97th in 41.12, Martin Cummins 99th in 41.36 and debutant Alan Rylance 101st in 44.06.
Entries are now coming in for the Thirsk 10 Road Race on March 23, 2014.
