ROSIE HATTEE fired a 76 checkout to help Marcia Grey to a 7-4 win over Severus ‘B’ in division two of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Hattee’s effort and wins for Maggie Bedingham and Chris Peebles helped Marcia Grey to enter the pairs on level terms at Severus ‘B’, whose winners were Dot Sellars, Michelle Kelly and Anne Meek.

Wins for Hattee and Bedingham, then colleagues Emma Barker and Tracy Scurr, sealed victory by the meanest of margins.

Jubilee slipped into pole position after a fine 6-3 result against visitors Sun. Angela Lancaster, Louise Warren, Vicki Capes, Julie Oliver won, then captain Heather Bulmer secured victory.

Jemma Young top-scored in Ox’s 6-3 win against visitors Leeman.

Burton WMC captain Linda Embleton gamed in 26 darts and Sandra Pallister shot out on 61 as they were taken to the wire at Woolpack, Marianne Deamer and Susan Barker snatching victory for the club side.

Turpin lost 7-2 at Green Tree, Kerry Humble, Sonja Love, Janine Cartwright scoring before Tray Wyatt broke Turpin’s duck.

Sandra Flintoft, Margaret Forth sealed Tree’s win and they added two pairs points to their tally.

In division one, Jill Reed closed on a two-dart 86 (treble 18, double 16) as Lions were denied a full house by Severus’ Sue Richardson.

Karen Alton, Sue Lowery and Ruth Norman gave visitors Tramways a commanding lead at Slipper, whose captain Doreen Johnstone stopped their charge.

However, the home team’s joy was short-lived as Jo Hodges (2x100) and Lynda Kennelly sealed victory.

The club side added two more points to their tally to move within three of leaders City Supporters, who were given a fright at Magnet.

Tracey Watkinson, Maggie Tottie and Flossy Crampton paved the way.

Bev Harton, Lynne Clapham and Natalie Farmeary pulled the scores level entering the pairs. Tottie was joined by Sandra Bruce (140, 100) as they edged the hosts in front.

Clapham and Sue Turpin set up a deciding leg, which saw the Farmeary family starring again as mother and daughter Tracey and Lauren snatched victory.

Burnholme had Jean West and Claire Murphy securing match points at Edinburgh in a close contest.

Pat Cairns, Sandra Winters, Babs Harrison and captain Di Moreland enabled Marcia ‘A’ to enter the pairs with a 4-2 advantage at Bootham Cons Club, whose Jackie Clemit, Pauline Welburn were their scorers.

Moreland and Becky Thompson sealed victory before Bootham polished off the remaining legs.

Laura Gatenby and Rose Gray were Acomb’s singles successes at Marcia ‘B’, whose Linda Welch, Sue Smith, Faye Hawksby and Joan Hunter starred.

Sharon Rishworth and Barbara Russell secured the result and Hunter and Welch added to Marcia’s tally.
