Ouseburn United made the most of Sporting Knavesmire’s free week as they gained a 3-2 triumph over York Acorn to move to the top of York Minster Engineering Football League division three.

Connor Larner’s brace for Acorn was not enough to prevent Ouseburn’s progress up the table.

Stamford Bridge gained a welcome win over Selby Olympia, an own goal and a strike from John Cavanagh proving decisive in a 2-1 triumph.

Rufforth United scored a 4-1 win over Tadcaster Town. Steve Gagen bagged a brace, adding to goals from Connor Pears and Ryan Williamson. Matthew Tyssen replied for Tadcaster.

Bishop Wilton were 6-1 winners over Huby. Tom Knowles (2), Rob Eels, Jason Nattrass, Darren Woodhead and an own goal made up the Wilton tally, while Ashley Innes notched for Huby.

Crayke edged to a 3-2 win over Civil Service. Tom Hilling, Matty Warriner and George Revill netted for Crayke, with Lloyd Crawford and Declan Parkes responding.
