Pickering Town end losing run in style at Parkgate

Bridlington Town take advantage of confusion in the Tadcaster Albion goalmouth to score at Ings Lane
PICKERING Town ended a run of four successive defeats with a 4-0 win at Parkgate in the Northern Counties East League premier division.
The Pikes took the lead thanks to a Reece Wesley own goal in the 30th minute and Josh Greening made it 2-0 on 36 minutes.
Tom Adams put the result beyond doubt with a goal seven minutes from time and Greening bagged his second in the last minute.
Tadcaster Albion missed a stack of chances as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Bridlington Town.
The Brewers took the lead in the seventh minute through Stuart Rice, but the visitors levelled on ten minutes.
An own goal on 58 minutes put Albion back in charge, but Brid came back with a 70th-minute goal from Chris Jenkinson.
Brid’s Frank Belt was sent off for two bookable offences on 87 minutes, but Tadcaster missed two late chances to take maximum points.
Selby Town were pegged back by an 87th-minute equaliser as they drew 1-1 at Pontefract Collieries in division one. Striker Danny Gray put the Robins in front on 48 minutes, but the hosts levelled through Nathan Perks.
Knaresborough Town crashed 4-1 at home to Clipstone, with Will Lenehan scoring their lone goal.
Scarborough Athletic were 2-0 home winners over Sutton Coldfield Town in Evo-Stik League division one south thanks to first-half goals from Matthew Plummer and Oliver Davies.
In division one north, Harrogate Railway Athletic lost 2-1 at Burscough, with Nathan Cartman netting for the visitors.
