Selby Town in with a shout following Jason Price signing
Selby Town manager Ian Dring reckons the sky is the limit for his side after recruiting former Doncaster forward Jason Price.
The Robins go to Pontefract Colleries in Northern Counties East League division one tomorrow having won five of their last six games, with Price making his debut last weekend in a 1-0 win over Knaresborough Town.
Dring said: “I am over the moon that we were able to bring him in. He brings a lot of experience. It’s all right talking and shouting on the side of the pitch but he’s doing it on the pitch and telling players what to do and where to go.
“Last weekend was his first game and he nearly scored. He’s there to hold the ball up and put other people in. He reads the game very quickly.”
Centre-back Mick Jones could be missing from the side that travels to West Yorkshire with a broken big toe and, despite good form which has lifted them to eighth in the table, Dring is expecting a tough game.
“It will be hard and it could go one way or the other,” he added.
Knaresborough Town play host to Clipstone.
Harrogate Town, on a run of five straight league and cup defeats, will try to snap that unwanted streak when they go to Boston in Conference North.
Harrogate Railway, meanwhile, take a trip to Burscough in Evo-Stik League division one north.
Scarborough Athletic host Sutton Coldfield Town in division one south.
