Time to get on a run says Leeds United ace Sam Byram

INSTANT dividends are being sought by York-born Sam Byram as Leeds United prepare for the visit of Bournemouth tonight.
United suffered capital punishment when they crashed 2-0 at Millwall on Saturday when one of the scorers was former York City wideman Martyn Woolford.
But Byram, who returned for his first full start in the home defeat by Burnley after a summer battle against injury, said the aim was to kick-start a solid run of results.
After the defeat at the New Den, where he came on as a substitute, Byram, said: “The lads’ heads were down, but you looked straight to today and we want to get a result against Bournemouth.
“We need to get three points and try to get a run going.”
Byram has been sidelined since April, following a hip injury which flared up during the warm-up ahead of the final home game of the season against Brighton.
He missed out on both England Under-20 duty and United’s pre-season programme during a frustrating summer.
“I’ve still got a lot more to gain in terms of building up my fitness,” he said.
Meanwhile, Leeds boss Brian McDermott has confirmed he is trying to get striker Luciano Becchio on loan from Norwich. The Argentinian forward joined the Canaries from Leeds last season in a swap deal involving Steve Morison.
