Back to Boots football programme
10:21am Saturday 21st September 2013 in Sport
MEN over the age of 30 are being invited to take part in the next City Masters Back to Boots football programme.
The initiative, organised by York City in the Community in conjunction with City of York Council Sport and Active Leisure and Benenden Health, is aimed at males who want to re-engage with football, improve their fitness levels or just take part in an informal social activity every week.
Taking place on Wednesday nights at York Sports Village, the course will run from October 9 to November 20 and costs £30 for the eight-week block.
Free taster sessions, meanwhile, will be held beforehand at Huntington School (6 to 7pm on Monday, September 30), York Sports Village (6.30 to 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 2) and Canon Lee School (6 to 6.55pm on Friday, October 4).
The course will provide a great opportunity for participants to play matches under the guidance of friendly, experienced coaches without the commitment of playing in a league.
Anybody wishing to book a place on the course or at one of the taster sessions, should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01904 553377.
