Adam Sullivan takes Knights leave into retirement
12:47pm Wednesday 4th September 2013 in Sport
YORK City Knights have been bade farewell by one of their most illustrious performers.
After more than a decade of stalwart service, Adam Sullivan confirmed that he had stowed away his boots as he contemplates a life away from rugby league at the chalk face of being a school teacher.
The debilitating effects of injury have finally caught up with the 30-year-old, who throughout his 11 years of service as a York player, plus spells in France and with Hunslet, has been a distinguished performer.
Sullivan admitted his retirement will leave a gaping hole in his sporting life, adding that he will miss the camaraderie of the dressing-room.
