Cueball 'B' battle back for victory in York John Smith's Ladies Darts League

NATALIE FARMEARY checked out on 107 in a pairs leg with mother Tracey to seal a 7-4 win for Cueball ‘B’ against Slipper in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.
The younger Farmeary fired three, treble 18, bull to snatch the win for the league leaders after visitors Slipper had held a 3-1 advantage.
A 22-dart leg from Marcia’s Sandra Winters levelled the game with Magnet entering the pairs.
Winters and captain Di Moreland edged Marcia in front and Carol Perrett and Babs Harrison sealed victory before Tracey Watkinson and Danni Laycock narrowed the deficit.
Jo Hodges and Sue Lowery were Tramways’ match- winners as they were pushed close by Cueball ‘A’.
Jane Barnes was Bootham’s lone singles success at Burnholme, whose Sharon Neads secured match points.
Five Lions were 8-3 winners at Severus ‘A’.
Captain Michelle Britton, Dawn Exton, Lynn Thompson and Shona Benson gave Lions a 4-2 lead entering the pairs.
Division two front-runners Edinburgh took a 4-2 lead against Sun thanks to Pat Jamieson, Chris Lamb, Amanda Bevan and Julie Stables, while Cris Turgoose and Freda Harman replied.
Stables and Claire Jamieson sealed victory before Sun took the remaining legs to go down 7-4.
Severus ‘B’ held on to second spot despite losing 8-3 at Green Tree, with Sonja Love and Kerry Humble securing match points.
Marcia Grey were denied a clean sheet after Jo MacPherson won the opening leg for Turpin in their 10-1 defeat.
