DIVISION one leaders Cueball ‘B’ picked up back-to-back wins in the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

The table-toppers were 8-3 winners over Bootham Cons Club and followed up with a 9-2 victory against their ‘A’ team.

Tracey Farmeary and Lynne Clapham fired the tons against Bootham, while Jayne Janes, Tina Platt and Natalie Farmeary shone in the inter-club battle.

Third-placed Marcia lost 8-3 at Burnholme, despite Claire Cooper winning the opening leg.

Slipper captain Doreen Johnstone checked out on 76 but her side, two players short, lost 7-4 at Acomb.

Johnstone then fired a 127 to spearhead a 7-4 win over Severus ‘A’, whose Carol Robson hit 120. Sue Tate and Anita Adams sealed the points for Slipper.

Magnet’s Sandra Bruce fired scores of 132 and 100, plus a 70 checkout, and Flossy Crampton scored 127 but they were unable to prevent Tramways taking the match 8-3 thanks to a clean sweep in the pairs.

Bootham’s Julia Hagyard was her side’s only point scorer in a 10-1 trouncing at home to Tramways.

Edinburgh strengthened their position at the top of division two with wins over Green Tree and Dick Turpin.

Green Tree were beaten 9-2 as Edinburgh enjoyed a clean sweep in the pairs, before Turpin were swept aside by the same scoreline, Chris Lamb hitting 121.

Second-placed Severus ‘B’ also picked up two wins, 7-4 at Leeman thanks to Wendy Storr’s 160, and 8-3 at home to Shoulder thanks to 174 and 119 from Anne Meek.

Marcia Grey are storming up the league after a 10-1 win at home to Burton WMC, aided by Maggie Beddingham’s 122, and an 8-3 win at Woolpack.

A full house in the pairs enabled Castle Howard Ox to clinch a 7-4 win over Burton, a result that helped them to bounce back from an 8-3 home defeat by Jubilee.
