YORK City Knights dropped into the relegation zone in the Kingstone Press Championship after a 34-10 defeat away to Swinton Lions.
The visitors took the lead early on at Leigh Sports Village with a try by returning prop Matt Nicholson and Tom Carr converted.
However, relegation rivals Swinton fought back to lead 16-6 at half-time and the Knights could only manage a Ben Johnston try after the break.
