YORK City Knights slipped to third from bottom in the Kingstone Press Championship after a 20-4 home defeat by Whitehaven.
The Knights trailed 4-0 at half-time at Huntington Stadium and could only muster a try by Dougie Flockhart in the second period as Whitehaven moved clear.
