Leeds United boss issues call to home arms

HOME service has to be at its most keen if Leeds United are to late gatecrash the npower Championship play-off places.

Ahead of tonight’s visit of relegation-haunted Peterborough – one of only six remaining League fixtures at Elland Road – Leeds boss Neil Warnock declared: “We have got to keep the way we are playing at home and get the fans behind us.

“They are all vital games now.”

Warnock was pleased by the character of his men to prise a point at the Selhurst Park base of automatic promotion-chasers Crystal Palace, where they forced a 2-2 draw.

And he hoped now that in the wake of Steve Morison’s brace at Palace, fellow strikers Ross McCormack and Luke Varney would weigh in with vital goals.
