Dunnington edged a step closer to retaining their York Minster Engineering Football League reserve ‘A’ title as they hit five past York RI for the second time this season.

Andy Rose hit a hat-trick in the leaders’ 5-1 win in September and he doubled the dose to add to goals from Matty Phail and Dan Hall.

The top-of-the-table clash in reserve ‘B’ went the way of leaders White Horse who defeated visitors Easingwold Town 4-3.

The Easingwold goals were shared between Jordan Green, Andrew Metcalfe senior and John Dey.

Pocklington salvaged a point from their trip to Bishopthorpe by snatching an equaliser two minutes from time.

Andy Segas, James Mackie and Graham Vickers were all on target for Bish in the 3-3 draw.

Heslington eased their relegation worries, ending an eight-match winless run with a 5-2 victory over York St John.

The students led with goals from James Long and Daniel Tingay, but Heslington’s first home win of the season was secured with a brace each for Shaun Allen and Alex Sutherland, plus one from Danny Topping.

Amotherby & Swinton, still looking for their first away win of the campaign, recorded their fourth draw on the road as they drew 2-2 with Aviva.

Ross Turnbull’s opening goal for the home side was cancelled out by Tom Everett. Geoff Pinkney restored Aviva’s lead, but Adam Gray levelled for Amotherby ten minutes from time.

Jim Darlison hit a hat-trick for Selby RSSC in a 4-1 win at Stamford Bridge to keep them on track for promotion from reserve ‘C’.

Kyle Pool added their fourth, with Jamie Rank replying for Stamford.

Poppleton held champions-elect Malton & Norton to a goalless opening half, but succumbed to a 6-0 defeat in the second period as Branden Read hit a hat-trick to add to goals from Adam Cooke, Ed Marwood and Curtis Pickering.

Third-placed Rowntrees led at Thorpe by a Sean Stewart goal with 20 minutes remaining, but managed to lose 6-2.

Byron Summers netted three times in the closing stages to add to strikes from Dave Hawe, Adam Parnell and Greg Anderson. Stewart, meanwhile, got his second.

Reserve ‘D’ leaders Civil Service beat visitors Tadcaster Town 7-3 after trailing 2-0 and 3-1.

Gareth Srain took his tally for the season to 21 with a fourth hat-trick of the campiagn to add to goals from Ross Dixon, Mark Lund, Declan Parks and Ben Holding. Ricky Mizzi hit a treble for St Clement’s in their 3-1 win at Huby, while Tom Dunning and Toby Bodycombe netted for Cliffe in a 2-1 home win over Rufforth.
