Darts: Tracey Farmeary on top form for Cueball

CUEBALL ‘B’ secured the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one title with an 8-3 victory over Walnut Tree.

Tracey Farmeary hit a 180, a 140 and a ton for Cueball, while Walnut’s Babs Harrison shot out on 75 in the pairs with Sandra Winters.

Sandra Bruce was on top form for Magnet in their 8-3 victory over Slipper, firing two 140s in an 18-dart game.

Tracey Watkinson and Denise Fowler helped put Magnet in the driving seat, although visiting captain Doreen Johnstone checked out on 102.

Jo Hodges and Judy Hall secured victory for Tramways at Flag, while second-placed Lions had captain Michelle Britton closing on a two-dart 92 in a 23-dart pairs leg with Lynn Thompson as they trounced Burnholme 9-2.

In division two, Edinburgh Arms had Julie Stables hitting the tons in their 8-3 win over hosts Acomb ‘B’.

Severus ‘B’ were 4-2 adrift of their ‘A’ team but wins for Sarah Thompson and Linda Goldsmith, then Dot Sellars and Anne Meek set up the decider for Michelle Kelly and Wendy Storr to snatch victory.

Karen Hodgson and Becky Walker were last-gasp match-winners for Clifton at champions-elect Bootham Cons Club.

Jubilee and Shoulder ‘A’ are tied at the top of division three and are facing a play-off to decide the title.

Jubilee had victory over Shepherd ‘A’ sewn up within the singles, with captain Heather Bulmer leading the way, while Shoulder ‘A’ were taken to the wire by Sun before Dawn Scott and Hayley Luck made sure of the points.

Leeman’s Charlotte Witts and Janet Nelson teamed up to win the deciding leg at Shoulder ‘B’.
