Bowls: County KO double for David Stroughair

YORK ace David Stroughair is to appear in two Yorkshire knockout finals at New Earswick Indoor Bowls Club on Saturday.

Stroughair and Nigel Macdonald, who was substitute for John Stroughair, beat Selby’s Peter Hislop and Roger Wood 20-9 in the pairs.

Then the triples team led by Stroughair beat Chris Bishop’s Harrogate side 20-11.

Stroughair will play a Scarborough team in the pairs starting at 9.45am before taking on Huddersfield in the triples at 2pm.
