York RI topple Riccall in Reserve ‘A’ league

YORK RI defeated Riccall United 2-1 for the second time this season in Reserve ‘A’ and virtually condemned their foes to relegation.

After a goalless first half, RI struck twice through Danny Woods and Collen Cummings with Brett Collier grabbing a late consolation for Riccall.

Dunnington pushed their unbeaten run to 25 games as they won 3-0 at Huntington.

In reserve ‘B’, Heslington drew 2-2 with Tadcaster Magnets. Rich Carroll and Mark Bilton bagged for Heslington.

Last week Malton & Norton celebrated promotion from reserve ‘C’ and this week a 3-0 home win over Hemingbrough sealed the championship.

Callum Holmes, Steve Hoggard and an own goal ensured Malton remain unbeaten with only three games to go.
