FAIRWAY-FINDER Simon Dyson will be bidding to take his rediscovered form into his return to the European Tour tomorrow.
That’s when the Tshwane Open at the Copperleaf Gold and Country Estate in the South African town of Centurion gets under way.
Boasting a prize fund of 1.5 million euros, the field also includes major winners Darren Clarke and Michael Campbell.
The 35-year-old Dyson goes into the tournament with his confidence hoisted by his joint ninth finish in the Sunshine Tour event at the Fancourt golf complex, also in South Africa.
Rounds of 66, 66, 73 and 71 secured only his second top-ten finish in a year and the Malton & Norton GC ace will have been especially invigorated by the opening brace of six-under-par rounds in which his putting touch was back to its most productive.
In a further boost, Dyson’s global ranking has steadied with Dyson remaining at 83 in the world ratings.
