BRENDAN GAMBLE signed off with a try as Rowntrees RUFC beat Ossett seconds 17-7.
A very physical Ossett side, who stepped in as opponents when Ripon thirds called off, scored a converted try to lead 7-0.
However, ’Trees responded with a penalty from Tom Atkinson and he then also converted the try by Gamble, who is heading off to work in Singapore.
Dave Harder, who is also leaving the club, scored late on and Atkinson converted to round off the win.
