Hockey: Tangerines stay in midway slot

ACOMB men’s I were 2-0 home winners over Harrogate III in Yorkshire Hockey League division four.
The victory leaves the Tangerines in a comfortable mid-table position.
They are in sixth place with six wins and five draws from their 17 fixtures.
Acomb men’s II, meanwhile, went down 4-2 at Boston Spa III in division six north.
Boston Spa are now level on points with the fourth-placed Tangerines second string, and they also boast a game in hand.
Acomb ladies I, who are third in Yorkshire League division three, were without a game at the weekend.
