First published in Sport

Flaxby Golf and Country resort will play host to the free to enter National Golf Challenge next week, writes Mark Smith.

The challenge consists of 12 shots to four targets. After the game the golfers can check the leaderboards to see how they compare on a local and national level.

One winner will walk away with the accolade of the UK’s best driving range player, while the winner from each category will win one of seven pairs of tickets to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

Founder of 60 60 Golf, Craig Higgs is looking forward to the competition, declaring: “Everyone should give it a go, whether they’re new to the game or play often.”

Anyone who wants to take part can register in advance at or by filling in a form at the Flaxby club.
