York City forward Ben Everson joins Gateshead on loan
1:32pm Thursday 21st February 2013 in Sport
YORK CITY striker Ben Everson has joined Gateshead on a month's loan.
The 25-year-old, who only joined the Minstermen last month following a period on trial at Bootham Crescent, has struggled for first team opportunities and has gone to the Blue Square Bet Premier side to get more game time.

Probably a good move for the lad but (notwithstanding Ranks etc etc in) a tad confusing.
For what my twopenneth's worth, we "only" need 8 or 9 points - could be half way there by this time next week and so I for one hope the Club holds it's nerve with GM - too late for a change now IMO. I will stand to be corrected if things go even more pear shaped
That said, I'm not sure about the man's longer term tenure in the role
Here in Bristol, there's no doubt Rovers timed their change perfectly. 20 games to go, proven (even if not the most succesful) League manager
Roll on 23rd / 30th March for what could prove to be more than my easier games to get to.......

Everson was looked at on trial - so presumably he was judged OK - but then it's taken a month to find out he's not strong/fit/talented enough.
So he might get game time in a team a division below us....and that kind of performance will solve our striking woes ????
Ultimately, this is why not having a reserve team in a competitive league is false economy

I hope I'm wrong, but it seems to me that Mills has absolutely no idea on how to sign a striker. What with Ashikodi, Henderson, Everson, McDaid, Rodman etc... and the fact that we're not scoring very much, this could be a large factor in the downfall of Mills. Lets get rid now before it's too late.

I'm also pretty sure that in all the time I've posted on here, I'm yet to be proven wrong. For the record, I thank Gary for everything he's done to date and I hope that come the end of the season I'll be apologising for some of the comments I've made. However, where as you and others won't have a bad word said, I don't believe that Mills should be let off because of what we did last season. Managers come and go, but the fans are here forever - you should remember that and you should also take note of all of the posters who are very unhappy with Gary Mills. I saw this coming a long time ago and I wasn't afraid to say so.

Any more clichés, too many people on here are influenced by what they read and see in the media, rather than forming their own views on an informed basis. A binding contract is of course legally enforceable if a party to it chooses to take action.
