TEAM power has been increased with a new appointment at York’s Chokdee Martial Arts Academy.
Owner Richard Cadden, the former twice world Thai-boxing champion, has added Danny Hague to the Nether Poppleton gym as its new strength and conditioning coach.
Highly recommended by one of Cadden’s contacts at Leeds Carnegie, the new coach will provide the strength and conditioning for the successful stable of Chokdee kick-boxers as well as running classes for novices.
Said Cadden: “Danny has had a lot of experience.
“He has helped coaching of the likes of the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team and the Great Britain netball and hockey squads.
“I remember when I was training I had to travel to Leeds and Manchester for strength and conditioning sessions.
“Now, to have somebody like Danny here means Chokdee is like a one-stop shop.
“We have it all under the one roof – strength and conditioning with Danny and actual techniques of Thai-boxing from myself.
“It’s a winning team that is growing and coming together.”
