Thirsk & Sowerby's Noel Clough claims Cyclo Cross crown

THIRSK & Sowerby Harriers member Noel Clough was crowned overall champion in the M40 category of the North East Cyclo Cross.

Clough was fifth in the latest round at Gateshead Stadium, which was enough to seal the title.

Meanwhile, club-mate Alan Harman was 400th out of the 550 finishers in the Ferriby 10 Road Race, staged near Hull.

Harman clocked 87 minutes 35 seconds.
