KING William beat Middlesbrough side Park End 6-2 to book their place in the quarter-finals of the North Riding County Cup.

The York Sunday Morning Football League side opened the scoring on three minutes when Danny Leach latched on to ’keeper Ben Sheehan’s long kick and headed into the net.

Mitchell Carter made it 2-0 six minutes later and it was 4-1 at the break after goals from George Bissett and Leach.

Luke Hall dribbled round the ’keeper to score the fifth on 54 minutes and he produced a carbon copy on 68 minutes, before Park End pulled a goal back.

Goals from Rob Hart and Gareth Miles earned Dunnington a 2-0 win over Hambleton in round two of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby League Cup.

Division four table-toppers Britannia Tadcaster trailed 2-0 at the break to Selby Railway, but won 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Adam Simieonedes and a James Burton goal.

Railway’s first-half scorers were Kevin Weston and James Hanson.

Third-placed Tadcaster Magnets hammered Eggborough Rangers 9-0, with Kingsley Wetherald grabbing a hat-trick, while there were also three goals for Kevin Martin in New Earswick’s 7-0 win over York Phoenix.
