Leeds United manager Neil Warnock could be set to hand debuts to January transfer signings Steve Morison and Stephen Warnock against Wolves tomorrow.

Morrison arrived at Elland Road on deadline day as part of Luciano Becchio’s move to Norwich and missed last Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to lead leaders Cardiff City because of a thigh injury.

Boss Warnock said: “Steve is a player I wanted here and I’m hoping we will have him involved. He hasn’t started a lot of games this season, but I know what he’s about and it’s about getting him up to speed.”

Left-back Stephen Warnock was an unused sub in the Cardiff match and his manager said: “Stephen is an experienced left-back and I felt last week was too soon for him on the basis of everything that had gone on in the days leading up to the game.”

United who dropped down to 12th following their first home defeat since November, face Dean Saunders’ Wolves side who are only one place above the drop zone.

The Whites boss will today assess the fitness of his international players with Rodolph Austin having returned from representing Jamaica against Mexico.

Warnock said: “We’ll have to see how he is.”

Ross McCormack will present the Elland Road boss with another problem after he was withdrawn from the Scotland squad due to illness.

Warnock said: “It was disappointing for him and Scotland, but hopefully it’ll mean he’s fit and ready for Wolves.”
