NEW Earswick All Blacks ARLC suffered a 46-10 home defeat against championship promotion-chasers West Bowling in the Pennine League.
The White Rose Avenue side trailed 28-6 at the break and were unable to make inroads against their Bradford-based visitors in the second period.
Bowling raced into the lead with a converted try after six minutes and two further tries made it 18-0 midway through the half.
The point-a-minute scoring rate continued as two more tries made it 28-0 after 28 minutes.
All Blacks hit back just before the break with scrum-half Liam Gargan crossing and stand-off Tom Holmes converting.
The hosts started the brighter in the second half with winger Dean Smith finishing in the corner for an unconverted try.
However, second-placed Bowling bagged three more tries to wrap up victory, leaving New Earswick in seventh place.
The All Blacks man-of-the-match was second rower Chris Spain, who was backed up well by prop Alan Davidson and Gargan.
Selby Warriors conceded their division three game at leaders West Leeds, while the Warriors’ ‘A’ team fixture at home to Queensbury ‘B’ in division seven was postponed.
In division six, Wetherby Bulldogs crashed 52-16 at second-placed Kinsley Raiders.
