One rugby union game escapes whiteout

First published in Sport

ONLY one game survived the snow in rugby union’s Northern Divisions.

Fixtures involving Pocklington, Malton & Norton, York, Selby and York RI were all postponed, although Leeds Medics and Dentists beat Hessle 26-0 in Yorkshire Three.

Malton have rearranged their North One East home clash with Cleckheaton for February 23, with Pocklington also now taking on Durham City that day.

New dates have not been confirmed for York’s Yorkshire One trip to Wath-upon-Dearne, Selby v Sheffield Medicals in Yorkshire Two, or York RI at Rotherham Phoenix in Yorkshire Three.
