TWO departures have been made by Leeds United players.

Defender Paul Connolly has joined npower League One outfit Preston North End on loan until April, while American international Robbie Rogers has left the Elland Road club by mutual consent.

Connolly was transfer-listed at the end of last season and had yet to feature in manager Neil Warnock’s plans in the current campaign.

The 29-year-old was on loan at troubled Portsmouth earlier in the season. He will now return to League One at Deepdale, where he will remain until the end of April.

Since signed by Warnock’s predecessor Simon Grayson in 2010 from Derby County, the right-back totalled 64 appearances for Leeds.

Meanwhile, striker Rogers, who arrived from Columbus Crew in his native USA last season, made only one senior start and three more games as a substitute for Leeds.

The 25-year-old spent some time on loan at Stevenage this season.
