York-based jockey Robert Winston is riding out of his skin this winter and is fancied to take Wolverhampton by storm tomorrow by completing a four-timer.

Winston has a knack of getting the best out out of horses and he is expected to work the oracle on nap selection Annelko in the Poker At coral.co.uk Handicap.

Trained by Michael Blake, Annelko is not the easiest of horses to win with. On his latest start, opportunity looked likely to come knocking for him when he put his head in front inside the final furlong, but he was worn down near the finish and beaten three-parts of a length by Kames Park.

Annelko rarely runs a bad race and is pretty versatile over a variety of distances. He is, though, overdue a win and Winston might just be the jockey to set the record straight.

Winston has another good chance for Blake aboard Basle in the bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

The six-year-old has been in good form lately, winning on this course and at Lingfield on his last two outings. A hat-trick hardly looks out of the question.

Winston also has a couple of good chances for Charlie Hills, particuarly on Overrider in the coral.co.uk Mobile Betting Handicap.

The gelding ran out an impressive seven lengths winner of a maiden on this course, with Winston in the saddle, last month. He is now into handicap company and hardly looks overburdened as he seeks to build on his latest victory.

It is anyone’s guess what level of ability King Wood may possess, but the Hills-trained three-year-old may not have to be anything more than an average performer to make a winning debut in the Bookmakers Reviews Maiden Stakes. He has a fair pedigree and it will be interesting to see if there is any confidence in the betting market.

North Yorkshire apprentice Jacob Butterfield heads back to Wolverhampton tomorrow hoping to ring the bell for a second time this year.

The 7lb claimer, who is attached to Ollie Pears’ Norton yard, gained his first success of 2013 on Boy The Bell at Wolverhampton a couple of weeks ago and the partnership is fancied to click again in the Bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

Trained by Pears, Boy The Bell returned from a short break to beat Under Par by one and a quarter lengths on his latest outing.

It was a cosy enough win and the handicapper has raised him only 3lb in the interim. He can provide Butterfield with his second success of the year and take the young rider’s tally to 12 in total.

North Yorkshire jockey Michael O’Connell journeys to Lingfield tomorrow with the aim of returning Wildomar to winning form in the featured Blue Square Bet Conditions Stakes.

Trained at Newmarket by John Ryan, the useful Wildomar was narrowly beaten by Noble Silk at Kempton earlier in the month, having beaten the same horse over this course and distance on his previous start. He has a little bit to find at the weights with one or two runners in this race, but he is clearly in good form and is the only prevous course winner in the field.

Recent Kempton winner Travelling (2.35) can follow up for Tony Carroll and Ryan Tate, while Experimentalist (4.15), denied by a nose at Kempton last time, has every chance of gaining compensation for Tim Vaughan and David Probert.
