FORCED into re-shuffling his ranks for tonight’s FA Cup third round replay at Birmingham City, Leeds United manager Neil Warnock still seeks a cup run.
United head to St Andrew’s for the third round replay with two of the clubs new signings both unavailable.
Midfielders Michael Tonge and Ross Barkley are ineligible for the replay, having joined the club after the original 1-1 showdown at Elland Road between the two clubs on January 5.
Their absence is a blow to a Leeds side still smarting from a shoddy display that led to their 2-0 Yorkshire derby loss at Barnsley.
Said Warnock: “There are decisions to be made. I want to put a team out that will win the game. That’s what we’ll be trying to do.”
Warnock explained how Birmingham would pose different problems to those set by Barnsley, but added: “I have an idea what I’d like to go with.
“I enjoyed the Capital One Cup, so I’d like to carry on and get in the next round.”
