Selby Town remain defiant
11:55am Tuesday 15th January 2013 in Sport
DESPITE being detached at the bottom of the Northern Counties Eastern League first division by 13 points after a 2-1 defeat to Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Selby Town are displaying a face of defiance.
Ahead of tonight’s visit of Bottesford Town, Robins’ secretary Tommy Arkley insisted the spirit new boss Ian Dring had installed since his arrival in December will spark a revival.
Said Arkley: “There is light at the end of the tunnel and we have to believe the vital wins will come. There is no talk about the ‘R’ word yet among the players.”
Also scheduled to play are Tadcaster Albion, whose NCEL premier division push stalled in a 1-1 draw at Winterton on Saturday. Albion visit Nostell Miners Welfare tonight.
