CUEBALL ‘B’ captain Tracey Farmeary fired a 23-dart leg as her side swept the board in the singles in a 9-2 win over Burnholme in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Burnholme only got on the scoresheet with two pairs wins, from Kate Liddle-Howden and Lynne Willstrop, and Ruth Liddle-Howden and Claire Murphy.

Second-placed Tramways were also 9-2 winners against Magnets.

Denise Fowler notched for the losers in the singles and then teamed up with Sandra Bruce to win the second point.

Lynn Thompson, Muriel Britton and Michelle Britton gave Lions a flying start at Cueball ‘A’, whose Faye Hawksby, Sharon Rishworth and Chris Hayward responded.

Lions roared again in the pairs to seal an 8-3 success.

Walnut Tree were a player light against Slipper, but they led 4-2 entering the pairs after wins for Clair Cooper, Carol Perrett, Becky Thompson and Babs Harrison. Perrett and Harrison joined forces to secure the victory.

Division two leaders Bootham Club had victory sewn up in the singles against Severus ‘A’, with Jane Barnes clinching the win.

Acomb ‘A’s Rose Gray checked out on 77 as her side proved too strong for Turpin, whose Sue Atkin hit 125.

Burton captain Linda Embleton won the opening leg against Severus ‘B’, but they were two players short and fell 4-1 behind.

Jean Wright narrowed the gap before Severus took charge for a full house in the pairs.

In division three, Catherine Higgins, Chris Peebles, Rosie Hattee and Tracey Scurr won their singles to give Shepherd ‘A’ a head start on visitors Leeman en route to an 8-3 win.
