New Earswick All Blacks and Selby Warriors ARLC are aiming to kick off their 2013 match action with knockout blows on Saturday (2pm).

All Blacks play their first match of the new year at Ackworth Jaguars in the second round of the Pennine League President’s Cup, while the Warriors continue on the Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy trail at home to Troydale Trojans.

All Blacks, who had a bye in the first round, have already faced Ackworth twice in the championship this season, with both sides winning once. The York outfit welcome back Sean Malarkey.

The Warriors won the Andrew Bennett Trophy in 2011 and reached the semi-finals last year. They are on the fringes of the promotion race in division three and face a side struggling in division two.

Meanwhile, Heworth began pre-season training under new coach Tim Rumford this week ahead of their first season in the new National League Conference division three following demotion last term. Fixtures for the NCL 2013 season are yet to be announced.
