THE York FA cup competitions are “back on track” after a winter of torrential rain.

Organisers have been playing catch-up since the weather wiped out 27 of the 28 scheduled ties on Sunday, November 25.

Barry Casterton, York FA honorary secretary, released the semi-final schedule and said there were now only three outstanding quarter-final ties.

“The cups are finally getting back on track and, with goodwill of teams, and referees agreeing to reverse fixtures or find new venues, only three ties are still outstanding,” said Casterton.

In the York FA Saturday Senior Cup, Huntington Rovers will host York RI on Saturday, February 9 for the right to travel to York St John University in the last four on Saturday, March 16.

Dunnington travel to Church Fenton White Horse this Saturday for a delayed quarter-final, with the winners away to holders Old Malton St Mary’s in the semi-finals.

The only other quarter-final game is the York FA Saturday Junior Cup clash between Dunnington Reserves and Tadcaster Magnets.

They are due to meet on Saturday, with the winners at home to Tadcaster Magnets Reserves in the last four.

Sporting Knavesmire host Osbaldwick in the other semi-final tie.

The line-up for the last four in the York FA Sunday Morning Senior Cup sees Acomb Celtic host York Nomads, while King William are away to Hounds.

In the York FA Sunday Morning Junior Cup, York St John University are at home to Bubwith White Swan, while Huntington Rovers go to Tadcaster Magnets.
