York Knavesmire Harriers membership drive

YORK Knavesmire Harriers athletics outfit have launched a new membership drive.
The club, which currently boasts 240 members, is eager to swell its membership and on Monday will unveil a new beginners’ training course.
The session starts on Monday from 6.30pm at York College in Sim Balk Lane and is designed for beginners who want to take up running in a “friendly and relaxed atmosphere” and those pondering a return to the sport.
Anyone interested in the session can attend on Monday night or phone Frank Holden on York 415142 or 792884.
The Harriers’ showpiece event, the annual Brass Monkey run, will be held on January 20.
