YORK RUFC bid for their sixth straight Yorkshire One success when they host Dinnington at Clifton Park tomorrow.

Coach Sean Bass’ men were the form side of the division in the run-up to the Christmas break – last in losing league action against Ilkley on October 27.

These results have brought them back to the fringes of the promotion scene and, four points off Wath-upon-Dearne in fourth place, they can start applying the pressure with yet another victory.

But Dinnington will be a difficult test. They have won six games this season.

Selby meet Ripon in a Yorkshire Two derby.

Having started the season with all guns blazing the Sandhill Laners, under coach Richard Nicholson, have slipped to third in the table.

However, they are still only three points behind leaders Doncaster Phoenix and will be looking to dominate their North Yorkshire rivals.

Ripon have won six, drawn one and lost seven of their 14 encounters so far and were soundly beaten 36-16 by Selby in September.

York RI, who have won only one game all campaign and are rooted to the bottom of the Yorkshire table, will be hoping the turn around starts at Burley.
