Huntington Rovers came from behind to beat York Five Lions 4-3 in round three of the York FA Sunday Morning Junior Cup.
A waterlogged pitch meant that the tie could not be held at Rovers’ ground as scheduled, and the loss of home advantage was swiftly compounded by an early Lions goal.
Chris Johnson put Huntington back on terms from the penalty spot for a 1-1 half-time score.
A flurry of second half goals from Shane Bogg, Joe Davison and Aaron Rose saw Huntington open up a commanding 4-1 lead and, while a late Lions fightback saw the deficit reduced to 4-3, Huntington held out.
