NEIL Hart doubled up for a pair of victories during stage six of the Yorkshire Masters Darts Open at Bridlington’s Greyhound Pub.

The York player beat Reece Robinson, of Hull, 3-1 in the singles final and then joined forces with Hornsea’s Steve Brooke, who he had beaten in the last four, to win the blind pairs competition.

Hart overcame PDC arrows ace Robinson with scores of 83, 140 and 121 in the fourth and decisive leg to win the Yorkshire Darts Promotions event, organised in association with Streamline Taxis and Red Dragon Darts. He had earlier checked out in 16 and 17 darts and thrown a maximum 180 to forge in front.

Hart beat Brooke 3-0 in the semi-finals with an 18-dart leg, a 110 finish for 15 darts and a 21-darter.

Robinson beat Castleford’s Roy Lilleyman 3-1 in the other semi-final, while other qualifiers for Grand Finals night, at Huntington WMC on January 26, were Tim Davison (Bridlington), Kevin Samuels (Hunmanby), Rick Harper (Harrogate) and Dean Thorpe (Cranswick).

Lilleyman hit the highest checkout of the day with a 127, while 180s were scored by Hart (2), Gavin Boynton, Liam Maddison and Brooke.

In the blind pairs, Hart and Brooke beat Samuels and Wayne Campbell (Harrogate) in the final.

The YDP Turkey and Tinsel event, due to be held on Saturday at the Punch Bowl in York, has been cancelled.
