SHAUN MURPHY and Mark Selby couldn't be separated following the afternoon session of the williamhill.com UK Championship final.
The pair were level at 4-4 - ensuring a thrilling climax to the nine-day tournament at the Barbican is in store this evening.
Murphy took a scrappy opening frame but Selby levelled with a break of 54 and went in front with 66 in the third frame.
But the session ebbed and flowed the 'Magician' Murphy took the next three - the highlights being an 83 break and a 98 clearance - to move 4-2 ahead.
Selby is a dogged competitor, though, and, as Murphy's long potting went slightly off the boil, he dug in with a break of 70 and also clinched the next to grab a share of the spoils.
