Yorkshire Shield test for resurgent York RUFC
9:45am Friday 30th November 2012 in Sport
IN-FORM York RUFC host Bridlington in round two of the Yorkshire Shield tomorrow (2.15pm) aiming to notch their fifth win on the trot.
The Clifton Parkers are flying after overcoming an inconsistent start to the campaign and welcome Yorkshire One rivals Bridlington full of confidence.
Since the start of November, York have beaten Knottingley, Old Brodleians and Pontefract in the league, while also brushing Redcar aside in round one of the Shield.
Coach Sean Bass has hauled his York side up to seventh in Yorkshire One, just three points and two places behind a Brid side that have lost five of their last seven league outings.
Bass will be without James Hartley, Sam Potrykus and Arran Thompson from the squad that beat Pontefract 23-12 last weekend.
Winger Hugh Nicholson, second row Marc Benson, prop Will Norris and winger Billy Cakaunitabua are added to the ranks.
