NATIONAL television coverage descends on Harrogate Town tomorrow as they bid to seek the glittering prize of a place in Sunday’s FA Cup third round draw.

Such is the interest in the Wetherby Road tie against Hastings United, the lowliest-placed club still left in the second round, that ITV’s late-night broadcast of highlights tomorrow has prompted the game to kick-off two hours early at 1pm.

So manager Simon Weaver’s men, who include Tom Platt on loan from York City, have the early incentive of getting into the third round and the chance of a riches-generating showdown.

To meet Hastings, Town toppled power League Two opposition in Torquay United, but the painful giant-killing boot would be on the other foot should the Blue Square Bet North hosts not negotiate an advance to round three.
