Darts: Walnut whip Flag-wavers

Walnut top division one in the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League after lowering Flag 6-3 with Carol Perrett, Diane Moreland and Babs Harrison hitting the tons for the victors.
Jo West was a double-ton scorer for Flag.
Burnholme won by the same margin at Cueball ‘A’, whose Joan Hunter gamed 26.
Ruth Liddle-Howden and Lynne Wilstrop combined to go out in 25 in the pairs.
Lions, with Anne Bass (25) leading the way, cleaned up in the pairs to down Magnet 7-2, despite some top-scoring from Sandra Bruce.
Sue Tate, Trish Law, Doreen Johnstone and Elaine Metcalfe ensured Slipper went into the pairs with a 4-2 advantage at Tramways.
Vicky Middleton and Karen Smith sealed victory before Johnstone and Metcalfe added to Slipper’s tally.
In division two, Edinburgh had a clean sweep in the singles as visitors Acomb ‘A’ found them too hot to handle.
However, Bootham Club kept hold of top spot by one point after Jackie Clemit and Jane Barnes combined to secure victory against visitors Severus ‘B’ by the meanest of margins.
Burton WMC left it late as they battled back from a 4-3 deficit at Clifton.
Sandra Pallister and daughter Linda Embleton levelled to set up a deciding leg where colleagues Angie Blackmore and Marianne Deamer snatched victory.
Turpin found their finishing prowess as Sarah Brown, Pam Beilby, Carol Cuthbert, Alison King then Katie Barton sealed victory at Acomb ‘B’.
Dawn and Charlotte Scott and Hayley Riley gave Shoulder ‘A’ a good grounding in their division three match at Leeman, whose Margaret Yeomans and Charlotte Witts narrowed the gap.
Julie Gothard restored the advantage then Riley, paired with Hayley Luck, snatched victory.
Shepherd ‘B’ had Kerry Humble and Alison Buckley pairing up to set up a decider at Jubilee, then club colleagues Sonya Love and Sheridan Kilner secured victory.
Sun beat Shepherd 6-3.
Teams are reminded results must be with the secretary by 5pm on Thursday following the match. Points will be lost for late sheets.
