COPMANTHORPE climbed to fourth in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division table with a 4-1 home win over Dringhouses.
The game was the only fixture in the top flight on Saturday due to York FA Saturday Senior Cup matches, and Copmanthorpe took full advantage.
The win moved them above beaten opponents Dringhouses and reigning champions Old Malton St Mary’s. Cop are now three points behind third-placed Huntington Rovers with a game in hand.
Aviva moved three points clear at the top of division one as they beat visitors Haxby United 3-0 and title rivals St Clement’s were losing 3-0 at home to lowly Amotherby & Swinton.
Total Sports United are now third after a 2-1 win at Pocklington Town.
Basement side Stamford Bridge picked up their first win in division two, beating third-placed hosts Heslington 2-1.
