Louis Blackwell hit five goals as Barlby came from 4-1 down at half-time to beat Selby Olympia 6-5 in the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Junior Challenge Trophy.
Lee Carter also scored, to counter Olympia goals from Sean Gandy (3), Luke Lambert and, with a 50-yard strike, Lee Ward.
York St John’s reached the quarter-finals by beating York RI 6-4, Lee Winslow (2) and James Peavoy (2) leading the way. Ben Hodgson (2), Dylan Henderson and John Golinger replied.
King William progressed in the North Riding Cup after the prolific Danny Gray netted all four in their 4-1 win at Northallerton Police.
Northallerton, whose reply came late on, had a penalty brilliantly saved by Ben Sheehan while it was 2-0. The second period nearly ended early when the referee took a ball full in the face, breaking a tooth and leaving him dazed.
