IN the North Yorkshire/South Durham Cross-country League event at Croft airfield, Thirsk and Sowerby Harrier Joe Griffiths finished 16th in the under-13s boys’ race clocking 11 minutes and seven seconds.
Pat Kirby was first Harrier home in the ladies’ race, 41st in 33-10, Carol Morrison 53rd in 35-16 and Christine Burn 61st in 36-42. Rob Burn was 80th out of 110 runners in the mens’ race in a time of 38-44.
Alan Harman competed in the Kielder Marathon, raising £1,436 towards research into prostate cancer.
