Paul Hanagan, in the final throes of his domestic stint before he leaves for the sunnier climes of Dubai, can take the feature honours at Kempton tomorrow evening.

The former Malton jockey teams up with nap selection Estedaama in the £10,300 32Red Handicap and this progressive filly is fancied to extend her unbeaten sequence to four.

Trained by Marcus Tregoning, Estedaama won both her starts in the spring, at Folkestone and York before missing the whole of the summer campaign.

She returned three weeks ago at Lingfield and immediately resumed winning ways.

She began her victorious run off a modest mark of 72 and has now climbed to 89, which is 8lb higher than she defied on her latest triumphant effort. But Estedaama is a three-year-old on the up and it would take a brave man to say her winning run is at an end. She will be hard to beat.

Webbow, who is only six weeks away from his 11th birthday, can not be expected to be as effective now as he was in his prime.

But the North Yorkshire veteran retains a fair amount of ability, which he showed at Doncaster four weeks ago when running well in a hot conditions race.

He reverts to handicap tomorrow for Norton trainer Julie Camacho, who is saddling him in the 32Bonus Handicap. A horse who has an all-weather record of two wins from four runs, Webbow is not to be underestimated.

Selkie’s Friend caused an upset on his debut at Newmarket four months ago when he popped up a 40-1 winner.

Trained by Henry Candy, the gelded son of Elnadim has not been seen since and remains an interesting customer. He goes into a handicap tomorrow and, although he lacks the experience of his rivals, it may be hasty to put down his initial win as a fluke.

Also worth noting tomorrow are recent Lingfield winner Mac Gille Eoin (4.10) and course winner Diplomatic (7.40).

The mud will be flying at Hexham this afternoon, but that will not bother Bonnie Burnett in the EBF At The Races Novices’ Hurdle.

Trained at Norton by Brian Rothwell, the five-won-year-old won on a similar surface at Ayr last month and may be capable of defying a penalty.

Nick Alexander had two winners on this course recently and the Scottish trainer has every chance of following up with Milano Magic in the Dr Tom Kelsey 70th Birthday Beginners’ Chase.

Samson Collonges won on this course 12 days ago and Ferdy Murphy’s mud lover can oblige again in the At The Races Novices’ Handicap Chase.
