NORTH Yorkshire pool player Paul Sullivan potted his way to a superb double by winning singles tournaments in Selby and York, writes Eric Foster.
Playing for Griffin in the Selby Monday Night League, Sullivan won the top eight singles shoot-out.
In York, representing Acomb Hotel, he won the York Open singles tournament and picked up the York player of the season trophy.
To crown one of his most successful campaigns, Sullivan was also awarded the player of the season prize in Selby as his side Griffin won the league and knockout titles.
Sullivan’s impressive form at the table also earned international honours.
He was picked for England in the European Championships in Ireland, although England lost 13-11 to Scotland.
