Hounds progress in Senior Cup with extra time win

HOUNDS needed extra time to see off Derwent United in round two of the York FA Sunday Morning Senior Cup.

Derwent hit back from 2-0 down to force an extra 30 minutes, but Hounds won 5-3 to secure a trip to York Medics in round three.

There were two goals from Chris Jackson and one apiece for Danny Rodwell, Richard Gladwell, from the penalty spot, and Ben Olsson.

Severus were 3-0 winners over Bubwith Nomads in round two and will travel to Acomb Celtic in the next round.

Craig McShane netted from the spot and there were also goals for Nick Hutchison and Marc Thompson. Bubwith White Swan beat LNER Builders 5-2 to book their place in the third round of the York FA Sunday Morning Junior Cup.

Substitute Si Houlder scored twice for Bubwith, with Graham Stuart, Scott Jackson and Jamie Sedman also on the scoresheet.

They are away to York RI in the next round.
