POCKLINGTON RUFC have a week away from North One East league action but there is no respite from tough encounters as they host Beverley in the preliminary round of the Yorkshire Cup at Percy Road.
When the two sides met in the league in September a nailbiting game saw Beverley edge the result 16-13.
For tomorrow’s clash, Pocklington’s extended 22-man cup squad sees the return of experienced forwards Dave Birch and Chris Hyde, plus the call up of young front rows Jack Helme and Jamie Nicholson.
The cup-tie kicks off early at 2pm in order to allow for extra-time if needed.
York, boosted by a comprehensive 56-20 victory against Knottingley, last week, are in Yorkshire Shield round one action and host Redcar.
York RI welcome Old Modernians in round one of the Yorkshire Silver Trophy.
